What insurance is accepted?

Iris Counseling and Wellness accepts some local in-network insurance plans as well as out of network insurance plans.

Please contact your insurance carrier directly for specific information as to your insurance benefits/coverage.

Will my insurance cover the cost of counseling?

If you are utilizing your in-network insurance benefits you will be responsible for the amount that is not covered by your insurance plan. You can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account to cover this cost.

If you are utilizing your out-of-network insurance benefits, you will be responsible for the balance that is not covered by your insurance. You can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account to cover this cost.

What questions do I ask my insurance carrier?

  • Does my health plan cover services provided by Iris Counseling and Wellness or Jessica Archer?

  • Does my health insurance plan include behavioral health benefits?

  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?

What if I don't have insurance?

Don’t want to use your insurance or don’t have insurance? Iris Counseling and Wellness offers private pay options. See more information below about the Good Faith Estimate or submit a request for more information below.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before your schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

  • For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or  call 1.800.985.3059.

It is recommended that you contact your insurance carrier to find out if services would be covered in-network or out-of-network, your benefit plan, co-pays, deductibles, etc.
